Page 1 of 4 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />DATE: September 23, 2024 <br />SUBJECT <br />Final acceptance of the 1525 Connecticut Drive Creek Wall Repair Project at Redwood Creek <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, accept the 1525 Connecticut Drive Creek Wall Repair Project, and authorize the release of <br />bonds and retention according to City procedures. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Public Safety <br />BACKGROUND <br />On April 15, 2024, the City Council approved and authorized the City Manager to execute a contract with <br />Valentine Corporation for the 1525 Connecticut Drive Creek Wall Repair Project for $157,367, and <br />authorize the City Manager, or their designee, to increase the contract amount, if necessary, up to 10 <br />percent of the original contract amount, for a not to exceed total in the amount of $173,104.00. The <br />project included full replacement of an approximate 10-foot segment of trapezoidal concrete lined <br />channel that had been displaced during the large storm event on December 31, 2022, and associated <br />landscape work. <br />6.F. - Page 1 of 4 <br />126
