ATTY/RESO.0063/CC RESO AMENDING CLASSIFICATION, WAGE, AND SALARY PLAN FOR IAFF <br />REV: 09-18-24 MI <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />ATTACHMENT B <br />RESOLUTION NO. _____ <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AMENDING THE CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY AND WAGE <br />PLAN FOR CLASSIFICATIONS REPRESENTED BY SAN MATEO <br />COUNTY FIREFIGHTERS INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF <br />FIREFIGHTERS LOCAL 2400 AND THE FIRE FIGHTER TRAINEE <br />CLASSIFICATION <br />WHEREAS, the City and the San Mateo County Firefighters International <br />Association of Firefighters Local 2400 (IAFF) have reached agreement on a Successor <br />Memorandum of Understanding for July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2026; and <br />WHEREAS, the parties agreed to amend the classification and salary and wage <br />plan by granting for all classifications represented by the IAFF a 3% cost-of-living <br />adjustment effective July 1, 2024, and a 3% cost-of-living adjustment effective July 14, <br />2025; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council previously approved the unrepresented classification <br />of Firefighter Trainee be set at 80% that of Step 1 Firefighter/Engineer – 40 hour, therefore <br />the classification and salary and wage plan is being amended to update salary for the <br />unrepresented classification of Firefighter Trainee to match internal alignment to <br />Firefighter/Engineer – 40 hour classification. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1.The City’s Classification and Salary and Wage plan is hereby amended for <br />classifications represented by IAFF and for the unrepresented classification of Firefighter <br />Trainee as set forth in Exhibits A-1, A-2, and B. <br />2.This resolution shall be effective upon the date of its adoption. <br />* * * <br />16243
