Marshall Street near Middlefield Road (15")
vii. Maple Street near Franklin Street (10")
viii. Beech Street near Lathrop Street (27")

V&A will be responsible for taking all necessary safety precautions in the performance of the work,
following all applicable Federal, State, and local regulations for working in confined spaces, and
complying with all applicable traffic control requirements of the City or other agencies with jurisdiction
over the meter sites.

The flow meters and rain gauge will be installed at the approved sites and visited weekly during the
monitoring period. V&A shall report to the City within 24 hours of each site visit if any meter has
malfunctioned or failed to provide good data, or if changes in site conditions have impacted collection
of good data. Field calibration data (independent measurements of flow depth and velocity) will be
collected throughout the monitoring period for each meter to verify monitor accuracy over a range of
flow depths. The monitor data will be collected at 5-minute intervals and reported at 15-minute
intervals. The meters will be interrogated at each site visit and the data (considered preliminary) will be
provided to the City for review on a weekly basis within 3 days after interrogation (at the City's
discretion, the data submittals may be reduced to a biweekly basis after the first 2 weeks if the initial
data appears to be good). The final data will be compiled following removal of the flow meters and rain
gauges. In the event that more than one flow meter fails to provide usable data during a significant
storm event (> 0.5 inches of rainfall in 24 hours), V&A will extend the monitoring period for up to 2
weeks at no additional cost to the City.

3. Deliverables: V&A will submit a Flow Monitoring Report (3 copies) containing site details and pictures;
field installation and maintenance sheets including calibration data; depth-velocity scatter plots; 7 -day plots
of flow for each meter and rainfall for each rain gauge; and summary tabulation of daily average,
minimum, and peak flow for each flow meter. Electronic files will be submitted in Excel format containing
depth, velocity, and flow rates for each meter and rainfall for each rain gauge in 15-minute intervals. Final
report and data shall be delivered within 3 weeks of completion of flow monitoring.

We propose to complete this work on a time and materials basis as follows:

8 Flow Meters and 1 Rain Gauge for 60 days:
Weekly Extensions of Flow Meters and Rain Gauge:

$37,000
$4,000 per week

Terms are Net 30 days and this price is valid for 90 days from the date of this proposal. The scope of work
was developed as a result of our discussion and represents our mutual understanding. Estimated costs for
the above project scope are itemized in the attached Resource Allocation Estimate. These costs represent
our best estimates at this time and may change subject to future developments during the project. It is
possible that some of the estimated manpower requirements for specific task items may increase while
others may not require the entire anticipated effort. This provides us a greater degree of confidence in the
overall project estimate, rather than in any given particular task.

If unforeseen circumstances should arise which indicate that more time is required, we would provide a
written estimate of additional required time and cost. We will not proceed with work beyond the not to exceed

.....

V&A
