<br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF THE BAY AREA <br />(Immigration and Citizenship Program in San Mateo County) <br />FISCAL YEAR 2009/2010 <br /> <br />CONTRACT OBJECTIVES <br /> <br />Quantifiable Goals to be Provided With <br />Re uested Funds <br />To increase 850 immigrant families' <br />stability by assisting them to reunite <br />their family, obtain work authorization or <br />become a naturalized U.S. Citizen, <br />based on their eligibility as established <br />by U.S. laws. <br /> <br />To expand access for 3,500 families to <br />accurate information regarding <br />immigration law and procedures and <br />thus increase their abilities to make <br />educated decisions regarding their <br />o tions, ri hts and res onsibilities. <br />To increase community awareness <br />regarding the special challenges faced <br />by newcomers. <br /> <br />Performance Indicators (how you will measure <br />the uantifiable oal <br />850 families will receive assistance, as <br />measured by caseworker intake records. <br />Success in obtaining appropriate documentation <br />will be measured by the positive response of the <br />U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service <br />(USCIS). <br />Increased family stability will be measured by <br />client surveys, indicating improved access to <br />housing, education, employment and civic <br />engagement opportunities. Specifically, in the <br />first quarter of FY 09-10, each adult client that <br />obtained work authorization and/or residency <br />during the past 6 months will be surveyed to <br />determine if s/he has obtained a new or <br />improved job or other significant quality of life <br />ain as a result. <br />Measured by the number of people participating <br />in our information sessions and consultations per <br />client sign-in records, as well as client surveys. <br /> <br />Conduct at least 15 workshops on issues of <br />importance to the Redwood City community, <br />such as changes in immigration law, civic <br />participation, citizen rights and responsibilities. <br />Participants will include service providers, <br />educators and community leaders who seek to <br />better understand their clients' immigration <br />status, rocedures and circumstances. <br /> <br /># of Unduplicated RWC Residents/Households to be Assisted (Only programs serving <br />individuals ma re ort b individuals.
