This balance included the one-time <br />General Fund funding of $500,000 appropriated within the FY 2024-25 Capital Improvement Plan Budget <br />to help pay for this emergency work. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />The California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) provides a statutory exemption from environmental <br />review for emergency projects pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15269. It was determined that the <br />Belmont Slough Emergency Levee Repair is statutorily exempt from CEQA as defined in CEQA Guidelines <br />Section 15269(b) and (c), Emergency Projects as the project is an emergency repair of a facility necessary <br />to maintain service essential to the public health, safety, and welfare, and to prevent an emergency, and <br />a Notice of Exemption (NOE) was filed on July 25, 2024. <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Public notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72 <br />hours prior to the meeting. <br />6.C. - Page 4 of 5 <br />75
