Consideration of a phased approach to allowing digital billboards in
Redwood City, with phase one allowing one digital billboard in Redwood City:
I have always considered billboards an indication of urban blight. An example of a city
discussed in the staff report, South San Francisco is a perfect example. My childhood
growing up in Los Angeles is another.
If Redwood City really feels the need, my suggestion is that you replace one of the current
static billboards with an electronic billboard. Then do so in a phased manner.
Cordially,
/ Pat Willard
Resident of Redwood City for over 20 years
--
Have cameras; use film.
