The alternative source of power may be supplied with fuel in the form <br />of diesel, natural gas, or LPG. An Underwriters Laboratories Central Station fully addressable <br />fire alarm system is required to be installed throughout the building and in <br />compliance with NFPA 72. Provide plans and <br />voltage drop calculations as a deferred submittal for the fire alarm system design <br />and identify the company providing the Underwriters Laboratories Central Station <br />Monitoring Service. In buildings four or more stories in height, a public address <br />system is required to be installed for the exclusive use of Fire Department personnel, <br />peace officers, or other City enforcement personnel according to specifications <br />approved by the Fire Prevention Bureau. Controls for, and access to, such system <br />must be installed on the ground floor of the building at a location subject to the <br />approval of the fire code official. A separate public address system is not required <br />to be installed when an Emergency Voice Alarm Communication System (EVACS) <br />is installed throughout per CFC 907.5.2.2, to fulfill the requirements of the Public <br />Address System.
