ATTY/RESO.0069/CC RESO 2835 BREWSTER AVENUE (LAFCO) <br />REV: 10-21-24 LF <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />RESOLUTION NO. _____ <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AUTHORIZING APPLICATION TO THE LOCAL AGENCY <br />FORMATION COMMISSION REQUESTING APPROVAL FOR <br />EXTENSION OF SEWER SERVICES TO 2835 BREWSTER AVE (APN <br />058-253-290) OUTSIDE JURISDICTIONAL BOUNDARIES PURSUANT <br />TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 56133 <br />WHEREAS, the property located at 2835 Brewster Avenue, APN 058-253-290 <br />(the “Property”), Unincorporated San Mateo County, California is outside the <br />jurisdictional boundaries of the City of Redwood City (the “City”) and sewer service <br />area, but inside the City’s sphere of influence; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo is processing an application for the <br />construction of a new accessory dwelling unit on the Property; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo’s approval of the building permits is <br />conditioned upon the property owner obtaining authorization for the existing <br />unauthorized sewer service to connect to City’s sanitary sewer main and extend the <br />sewer service to the proposed accessory dwelling unit on the Property; and <br />WHEREAS, the property owner has requested that the City authorize sewer <br />services to the existing single-family home and proposed accessory dwelling unit on the <br />Property; and <br />WHEREAS, this activity is not a project under California Environmental Quality <br />Act (CEQA) as defined in CEQA Guidelines, section 15378, because it has no potential <br />for resulting in either a direct or reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the <br />environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1.The City Manager or their designee is hereby authorized to submit an <br />application to the Local Agency Formation Commission (“LAFCo”) requesting approval <br />of the existing unauthorized sewer service outside the City’s jurisdictional boundaries <br />and sewer service area, and within the City’s sphere of influence to 2835 Brewster <br />Avenue, Unincorporated San Mateo County, California (APN 058-253-290) pursuant to <br />California Government Code Section 56133 of the Cortese-Knox-Hertzberg Local <br />Government Reorganization Act of 2000. <br />2.The sewer service connection for the single-family residence and the <br />proposed accessory dwelling unit at the Property is subject to the following conditions <br />and fees: <br />16251
