ATTY/RESO.0084/CC RESO AMENDING EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT SUMMARY OF BENEFITS, CLASSIFICATION, & WAGE AND SALARY PLAN <br />REV: 11-21-24 MI <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY 1) AMENDING THE EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT SUMMARY OF <br />BENEFITS INCLUDING TITLE CHANGE TO SUMMARY OF <br />COMPENSATION AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT FOR THE <br />EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEE GROUP EFFECTIVE <br />NOVEMBER 25, 2024 AND 2) AMENDING THE CITY’S <br />CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY PLAN TO UPDATE SALARY RANGES <br />FOR CLASSIFICATIONS IN EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to its authority, the Council of the City of Redwood City <br />periodically determines whether to make adjustments to the salary and benefits plan for <br />Appointed and Executive Management classifications; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends amending the Executive Management Summary of <br />Benefits, attached as Exhibit A, including amendments to salary for Executive <br />Management classifications, reducing employee additional cost share toward the <br />employer share of pension, granting new hires from outside of the City with a bank of <br />vacation hours at time of hire, extending bereavement leave, providing opportunity for <br />election to cash out a portion of sick leave hours, providing relocation assistance dollars <br />for certain Executive Management classifications, increasing annual uniform allowance <br />for sworn executive management personnel, and increase cellular phone stipend for <br />those required to use cell phones for City business. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />1.The recitals set forth above are true and correct and are hereby <br />incorporated by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. <br />2.The Executive Management Summary of Benefits shall be amended and <br />retitled as set forth in Exhibit A. <br />3.The City’s Classification and Salary Plan is hereby amended as listed in <br />Exhibit A, and in the full salary plan attached as Exhibit B. <br />4.This resolution shall be effective upon the date of its adoption. <br />* * * <br /> 16265
