The project has since been
completed in accordance with all plans and specifications provided by the City.
Change orders were authorized to address the need for additional labor and materials due to changes in
scope that were required to accommodate the City’s needs. The change orders resulted in an additional
10 days of total contract time. The table below outlines the total cost changes for the project.
Contractor Base Bid Change Orders Total % Increase Total Days Added
Pacific Coast Sales &
Service, Inc. dba Pacific
Coast Trane Controls
$213,970 $20,944 9.8%10
FISCAL IMPACT
This project is funded using monies from the Tenant Improvement and Roof and HVAC Program Accounts
within the Capital Outlay Fund.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
The recommended project acceptance action is not a project under the California Environmental Quality
Act (CEQA) as defined by CEQA Guidelines, section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in
either a direct or reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment.
PUBLIC NOTICE
Public notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72
hours prior to the meeting.
ALTERNATIVES
City Council may choose not to accept the project or authorize the release of bonds and retention;
however, this would be contrary to the terms of the contract, prior Council action, and the Public
Contracting Code.
6.E. - Page 2 of 3
173
