Amending the City of Redwood City's Classification and Salary and Wage Plan to establish a new <br />classification of Housing Management Analyst I/II and amending the salary ranges for the confidential <br />employee group and X151 Office Clerical Level II classifications; and <br />2. Amending the adopted Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Budget to update the full-time equivalent employee <br />tables for the City Manager’s Office. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Excellence in Government Operations <br />BACKGROUND <br />Due to the dynamic nature of providing services to the community and serving the organization, and as <br />service needs and operations evolve over time and/or vacancies occur, City staff review the City’s <br />classification system and organization to recommend changes in order to bring positions up to date, <br />and/or to make changes in support of the City’s Strategic Plan and improve service delivery. <br />The City Council has adopted a strategic initiative related to government operations, and one of the goals <br />of that initiative is: <br />Uphold the highest standards of professionalism within City Operations, and encourage fiscal <br />responsibility, innovation, and strategic decision making. <br />6.A. - Page 1 of 21 <br />5
