City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org
FISCAL IMPACT
The agreement is for a term of approximately 5 years for an amount not to exceed $310,158.86. Funds
were allocated from the General Fund to the City Clerk’s Office as part of the FY 2023-24 budget in the
amount of $286,000, all of which has been unused and rolled over to the current fiscal year. These funds
will cover expenses for the majority of the contract and staff will return to Council to seek additional funds
for the remainder of the costs in year 5 of the agreement.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
This activity is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as defined in CEQA
Guidelines, section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or reasonably
foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment.
PUBLIC NOTICE
Public notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72
hours prior to the meeting.
ALTERNATIVES
The City Council could choose not to approve the agreement and direct staff to engage in an RFP process
to identify additional companies interested in providing agenda management software and services for
the City of Redwood City. Should staff be directed to begin the procurement process again, it would result
in significant delays to the deployment of a new agenda management system and require staff to continue
using a patchwork approach to publishing agendas for City Council and Planning Commission meetings.
ATTACHMENTS
Attachment A – Agreement for Services with Granicus
REPORT PREPARED BY:
Kimberly Daniel, Management Analyst II
kdaniel@redwoodcity.org
(650) 780-7209
6.C. - Page 3 of 40
83
