MINUTE ORDER <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> December 9, 1996 <br /> MO. 96-301 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: December 10, 1996 <br /> <br />Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Finance Director <br /> Community Development Director <br /> <br /> SUBJECT: THE BROADWAY SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT (304) <br /> <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on December 9, 1996. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmembers Buchan, Howard, Leipzig, Ruskin <br /> and Mayor Hartnett <br /> <br />Absent: Claire and La Berge <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carried and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> M/S: RUSKIN/HOWARD TO APPROVE CHANGE ORDERS NO. 1 AND NO. <br /> 2 IN THE AMOUNT OF $104,000 FOR THE BROADWAY SIDEWALK <br /> IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT. <br /> <br /> Councilman Ruskin, Chairman of the Council Streets Committee, advised the <br /> work has been stopped temporarily to allow easy access to the stores and shops <br /> along Broadway during the Holiday season. Councilman Ruskin said the <br /> Downtown is looking better than ever with the new entryway features, the clock <br /> tower, the downtown Redwood City arch and the paved sidewalks. He added <br /> that the sidewalk project will be completed shortly after the new year, weather <br /> permitting. <br /> <br /> CARRIED BY UNANIMOUS VOICE VOTE. <br /> <br />Arlyn C.
