Page 2 of 6 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org <br />ANALYSIS <br />The proposed appointments are as follows: <br />Regional Joint Powers Authorities (JPAs) and Other <br />Local Appointments <br />2025 Assignments <br />Advanced Life Support – Joint Powers Authority <br />overseeing emergency services provided to a <br />consortium of cities. <br />Council Member Padilla <br />BAWSCA – Agency that provides regional water supply <br />planning, resource development, and conservation <br />program services for 26 cities, water districts, and <br />private utilities. The Board is comprised of one <br />representative from each member agency. <br />Barbara Pierce (term expires June 2025) <br />BRSSD 2+2+2 – Multiagency discussion of Belmont and <br />Redwood Shores School Districts. <br />Council Member Gee <br />Council Member Chu <br />Chamber Governmental Relations Committee Mayor Martínez Saballos <br />Vice Mayor Eakin <br />City/County Association of Governments (C/CAG) – A <br />21-member multiagency body who address shared <br />regional issues affecting quality of Life. The Board offers <br />a forum for cities and the County to work together on <br />common issues to develop cost-effective solutions. <br />Mayor Martínez Saballos <br />Council Member Howard (Alternate) <br />City/County Association of Governments Airport Land <br />Use Committee (C/CAG ALUC) – The Committee is <br />responsible for providing advice and recommend actions <br />to C/CAG regarding the updating of the airport <br />compatibility plans, and other land use issues affecting <br />the three airports in the County. The Committee consists <br />of 13 members representing 10 cities, the County of San <br />Mateo, and the Aviation Community (two <br />representatives). <br />Council Member Sturken <br />Council Member Chu <br />Caltrain Board of Directors – The Peninsula Corridor <br />Joint Powers Board, which owns and operates Caltrain, <br />consists of representatives from San Francisco, San <br />Mateo, and Santa Clara Counties. <br />Council Member Gee <br />Caltrain – CalMod Local Policy Maker Group (LPMG) – <br />An advisory group comprised of officials from cities and <br />counties along the Caltrain corridor. The Group meets <br />monthly to provide feedback and receive updates on the <br />Caltrain Business Plan, Caltrain Electrification Project, <br />and HSR Blended System Plan. <br />Council Member Howard <br />Council Member Chu (Alternate) <br />Emergency Services Council – The Council shares a <br />collective goal to provide coordinated plans for the <br />protection of persons and property based on the five <br />phases of emergency management; prevention, <br />Vice Mayor Eakin <br />Council Member Padilla (Alternate) <br />9.A. - Page 2 of 6 <br />181
