"Unit" includes, without limitation, an apartment; a condominium; a townhouse; a room in a <br />senior facility; a room in a long-term health care facility, assisted living facility, or hospital; a room in a hotel or <br />motel; a dormitory room; a room in a single room occupancy ("SRO") facility; a room in a homeless shelter; a <br />mobile home; a camper vehicle or tent; a single-family home; and an in-law or second unit. Unit includes, without <br />limitation, a new unit. <br />Sec. 15.3. SEVERABILITY: <br />Nothing in this Chapter shall be interpreted or applied so as to create any requirement, power, or duty that is <br />preempted by federal or state law. If any section, paragraph, phrase, term or word of this Chapter is inconsistent <br />with State law or declared for any reason to be invalid, the remainder of the Chapter, including the application of <br />such part or provision to other persons or circumstances, shall not be affected thereby, and shall continue in full <br />force and effect irrespective of any such portion declared invalid. <br /> <br />Secs. 15.4—15.5.
