1 <br /> <br /> <br />Redwood City – Fourth Amendment to the 2019 Action Plan <br /> <br />The City of Redwood City wishes to amend its program year 2019 Action Plan for the fourth time to reallocate $143,609 in Community Development <br />Block Grant Coronavirus (CDBG-CV) funding received from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) in order to <br />respond to coronavirus (COVID-19) impacts in the community. In total the City has received $1,090,327 in CDBG-CV funds. The City’s first <br />allocation was for $448,039 and was allocated to emergency rental assistance in May 2020. The City’s second allocation of CDBG-CV funds was <br />$642,288. In the Second Amendment to the 2019 Action Plan, the City allocated 20% of the total grant amount, $218,066, to the planning and <br />administration of the grant, $275,000 to the Community Child Care Council (4Cs) of San Mateo County and $149,222 to the City’s existing emergency <br />assistance program. In November 2022, the City prepared a minor third amendment to the 2019 Action Plan allocating $16,426 in unspent Childcare <br />Provider Assistance funds to the COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance Program. <br /> <br />The City now wishes to do a fourth minor amendment to the 2019 Action Plan to reallocate the City’s remaining CDBG-CV funds ($143,609) towards <br />a healthcare job training program. The City will utilize the remaining CDBG-CV administration to administer this program.
