The property is within the service area of the Emerald <br />Lake Hills Wastewater Management Plan agreement between the County of San Mateo and the City of <br />Redwood City dated August 23, 1983, and eligible to use a portion of the sewage treatment capacity <br />allocated to the District. <br />On January 10, 2025, the District was informed by City of Redwood City (City) staff that the current City <br />Wastewater Treatment Capacity and Sewer Facilities fees totaling $5,301.70 per single-family residence <br />is required per the City’s latest Master Fee Schedule effective July 1, 2024. This information was <br />provided after the District issued Check No. 02911707 in the amount of $3,095.70 which accompanied <br />the letter dated December 9, 2024 for payment of the Wastewater Treatment Capacity and Sewer <br />Facilities fees to the City. We understand that the property owner paid the fee difference in the amount of <br />$2,206.00 to the City directly on January 27, 2025. The District has authorized and approved the <br />construction of a new sewer connection. Please have City Council execute a Resolution consenting to <br />the annexation and provide a copy to the District to proceed with the annexation.
