Page 1 of 6 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />DATE: February 24, 2025 <br />SUBJECT <br />Accept $2,850,629 in State grant funds for the Encampment Resolution Funding Program (ERF) <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to sign the Encampment Resolution Funding Program <br />(ERF) Standard Agreement between the State of California Department of Housing and Community <br />Development and the City of Redwood City, accepting a grant award of $2,850,629 for Round 4 of the ERF <br />Program (ERF-4-L). <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Healthy Community for All <br />Housing <br />BACKGROUND <br />On March 1, 2022, the City was one of 19 California communities to receive Round 1 of State Encampment <br />Resolution Funding (ERF) Program Funds in the amount of $1,843,500. Round 1 of the ERF Program (ERF-1) <br />was a two-year grant for the period July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2024. The City successfully expended <br />100% of grant funds and met all grant deadlines and reporting requirements for the ERF-1 grant. Services <br />funded through the ERF-1 grant included (1) intensive case management and outreach services; (2) hotel <br />respite and housing subsidies; (3) launch of encampment waste services; (4) and encampment site <br />restoration. <br />6.D. - Page 1 of 32 <br />81
