DEFINITIONS <br />3 <br />2 <br />T he following words, terms and phrases, <br />when used in these Guidelines, shall <br />have the meanings ascribed to them in <br />this Section, except where the context clearly <br />indicates a different meaning. Feel free to keep <br />this page aside as you read through the Program <br />Guidelines. <br />OUTDOOR BUSINESS ACTIVITY <br />As defined in Redwood City Municipal Code <br />Section 29.2, the act of a business establishment <br />providing goods and services within the right- <br />of-way through creation of a Parklet and/or <br />Sidewalk Cafe, including, but not limited to, <br />retail, dining, and personal services. <br />SIDEWALKS <br />Sidewalk as defined in California Vehicle Code <br />Section 555. <br />ROADWAYS <br />Roadway means “street” as defined in California <br />Vehicle Code Section 590, as may be amended <br />from time to time. <br />PEDESTRIAN STREET <br />Streets that are closed to vehicular access by <br />action of the City Council. <br />6.E. - Page 12 of 76 <br />107
