REV: 01-10-25 LR <br />specific community needs. <br />Support the assigned mental health clinician in clinical decisions and <br />referrals. <br />Provide the assigned mental health clinician with access to the law <br />enforcement data base system, to the extent necessary to carry out <br />job responsibilities as a BHRS-contracted employee participating in <br />the CWCRT Program. <br />Work collaboratively with the mental health clinician to provide <br />necessary law enforcement-related information to assist them in <br />achieving the agreed upon outcomes of the CWCRT Program. <br />6.2 BHRS shall be responsible for each of the following: <br />Maintain the StarVista agreement for provision of a trained full-time <br />mental health clinician to be embedded in each of the City Police <br />Departments for the mental health crisis response, as long as said <br />agreement is appropriate and in the County’s best interests. <br />In the event the County determines in good faith that the StarVista <br />agreement is no longer appropriate and in its best interests, provide <br />sixty (60) days advance written notice of the termination of the <br />StarVista agreement to the Cities, and ensure there shall be no gap <br />in the provision of services of mental health clinicians to the Cities. <br />The Scope of Work provided by the mental health clinicians will be <br />clearly defined in the BHRS agreement with StarVista, which <br />includes crisis response, crisis de-escalation, crisis assessment, <br />involuntary 5150 hold, short-term follow-up intervention support and <br />case management linkage connection to needed treatment and <br />services. Related training, documentation requirements and data <br />collections will all be detailed in the County’s agreement with <br />StarVista and monitored on an ongoing basis. <br />Ensure required onboarding documentation orientation, needed <br />5150 certification training, BHRS and community mental <br />health/substance use services and resources training, and periodic <br />training related to crisis response, crisis de-escalation, crisis <br />assessment, 5150 involuntary hold, laws and ethics are arranged for <br />or provided. <br />Provide StarVista clinicians with all County equipment and materials <br />necessary to perform the function of a mental health crisis response <br />clinician in the CWCRT Program (i.e. County laptop with needed <br />applications, County car, auto insurance, auto maintenance, <br />ongoing gasoline), and technical support to address related <br />technical issues as they may arise in the use and maintenance of <br />this equipment. <br />Provide Avatar electronic health record log-in for the purpose of <br />client look-up and documentation of billable and nonbillable mental <br />health services. <br />ATTY/AGR.2025.004/BHRS of San Mateo County Health (Community Wellness Crisis Response Team MOU) (Page 4 of 17) <br />6.F. - Page 7 of 20 <br />178
