Page 8 of 9 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org <br />APPENDIX A – JOB FAMILIES FOR LAYOFF PURPOSES (Section 7.5) <br />The Tentative Agreement provides minor changes to job families for bumping purposes provided in <br />Section 7.5 of the MOU. <br />Community Service Officers are added to the Parking Enforcement Officer I/II job family <br />Recreation classifications of Program Assistant I/II, Facility Leader, Facility Aide, and Building <br />Attendant are removed from Public Works Maintenance job family and added to the job family <br />containing the Recreation & Community Services Program Coordinator, Recreation Program <br />Coordinator/Special Events, and Recreation Specialists I/II/III. <br />CLASSIFICATION AND JOB DESCRIPTION CHANGES: <br />Building Inspector and Permits Technician: Amendments to the job descriptions include updates to <br />accurately reflect current duties and minimum qualifications including required certifications. City staff <br />and representatives of SEIU met and conferred and mutually agreed on proposed changes to these job <br />descriptions. <br />SALARY PLAN CHANGES: <br />City-Wide Classification and Salary and Wage plan updates including updating salaries for 3% COLA <br />increases effective February 10, 2025 and February 9, 2026 for classifications represented by the SEIU, <br />and recommended increases to applicable classifications effective January 1, 2025 in compliance with <br />City’s Minimum Wage Ordinance. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The proposed 3% cost-of-living for year one is included in the current adopted FY 2024-25 budget. Other <br />recommended salary and benefit changes through the three-year term of the agreement represent an <br />estimated fiscal impact of approximately $3,178,000. At this time, staff is requesting a budget <br />amendment for Fiscal Year 2024-25 increasing General Fund expenditures by $767,000. For subsequent <br />fiscal years, projected costs of recommended salary and benefits will be built into the development of <br />future recommended budgets. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />This activity is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as defined in CEQA <br />Guidelines, section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or reasonably <br />foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment. <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Public notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72 <br />hours prior to the meeting. <br />6.G. - Page 8 of 151 <br />199
