<br />1 <br /> <br />PREAMBLE <br /> <br />This Memorandum of Understanding (hereinafter MOU) is entered into pursuant to the provisions <br />of Section 3500 et. seq. of the Government Code of the State of California. <br /> <br />The parties have met and conferred in good faith regarding wages, hours and other terms and <br />conditions of employment for the employees in said representation unit, and have freely exchanged <br />information, opinions and proposals and have reached agreement on all matters relating to the <br />employment conditions and employer-employee relations of such employees. <br /> <br />This MOU shall be presented to the City Council of the City of Redwood City as the joint <br />recommendation of the undersigned parties for salary and employee benefit adjustments for the <br />period commencing August 26,30, 20242021 and ending August 29, 2027August 27, 2023, and <br />extended by mutual agreement until August 25, 2024. <br /> <br />SECTION 1 - RECOGNITION <br /> <br />1.1 Union Recognition <br /> <br />Redwood City Police Supervisors Association (RCPSA), hereinafter referred to as "the <br />Association," has been recognized as the Majority Representative, pursuant to the <br />Employer-Employee Resolution of the City initially adopted August 7, 1972, and <br />periodically revised subject to the provisions of Government Code section 3507, for the <br />regular full-time employees assigned to the Police Sergeant (Payroll Code P601) Police <br />Sergeant – Advanced (Ten-Year) (Payroll Code P602), Police Sergeant – Advanced <br />(Fifteen-Year) (Payroll Code PXXX), Police Lieutenant (Payroll Code C315), and Police <br />Lieutenant – Advanced (Ten-Year) (Payroll Code C314), and Police Lieutenant – <br />Advanced (Fifteen-Year) (Payroll Code CXXX) classifications. This unit of employees <br />shall for the purposes of identification be titled the Supervisors Unit. <br /> <br />1.2 Employer Recognition <br /> <br />The City Manager is the representative of the City of Redwood City, hereinafter referred <br />to as "the City," in employer-employee relations pursuant to the Employer-Employee <br />Resolution of the City adopted August 7, 1972. <br /> <br />SECTION 2 - EEO/ADA <br /> <br />2.1 No Discrimination <br /> <br />It is the policy of the City of Redwood City to provide equal employment opportunity to <br />all employees and applicants for employment.
