When intervention is desired, the Chief will contact the President
or their designee to schedule a meeting where the representative
will be granted access to the investigative file. This access will not
include the right to copy any portion of the file in question.
Appropriate copies will be made available after the actual
discipline is determined. After being given a reasonable amount of
time to read the file, the Chief will listen to confidential, oral input
as it relates to the actual level of discipline to be taken.
