<br /> <br />00059814-1 <br /> 15 <br /> <br />The City shall pay the rate prescribed by the Public Employees’ Retirement System for employer <br />contributions to the Public Employees’ Retirement System in accordance with the rules and regulations <br />governing such employer contributions. <br /> <br />15.3 All such employee contributions toward employer cost of retirement will be made on a pre-tax basis to the <br />extent permitted under the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations. Effective August 28, 2016, the City <br />adopted a resolution addressing Section 414(h)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code as permitted by law. <br /> <br />15.4 Reopener <br /> <br />If any court of competent jurisdiction or legislative change requires additional member contributions above <br />those provided for in the MOU, the parties shall reopen the agreement for purposes of meeting and <br />conferring about applying the amount of member payment of the employer contribution to CalPERS (cost <br />sharing) to member contributions. <br /> <br /> <br />ARTICLE 16 - PAY <br /> <br />16.1 Pay Period <br /> <br />Management unit employees shall be paid bi-weekly on Fridays. <br /> <br />All RCMEA members are required to participate in a mandatory direct deposit program. <br /> <br />16.2 Salary Increases <br /> <br />16.2.1 Effective the first full pay period following October 1, 2024, there will be a three percent (3%) cost <br />of living increase for all classifications represented by the bargaining unit. An employee must be in <br />full paid status for the entire applicable pay period in which the adjustment is implemented to be <br />eligible to receive the retroactive payment. <br /> <br />Effective the first full pay period following City Council approval of a successor MOU in 2025, the <br />following classifications will receive equity adjustments in the following amounts: <br />• Management Analyst I/II: 1.55% <br />• (Proposed) Housing Management Analyst I/II: 1.55% <br />• Communications Multimedia Analyst: 1.55% <br />• Human Resources Technician: 1.55% <br />• Parks, Recreation and Community Services Manager: 1.97% <br />• Recreation Supervisor: 1.97% <br />• Human Services Manager: 1.97% <br />• Landscape Architect: 1.97% <br />• Landscape Supervisor: 1.97% <br /> <br />Following City Council approval of a successor MOU in 2025, the City will conduct a total <br />compensation survey in accordance with the parameters of the City’s compensation philosophy <br />and will reflect the Redwood City COLA and pension cost share effective the first full pay period <br />following City Council approval of a successor MOU in 2025.
