By motion, accept the Emergency Veterans Boulevard Sanitary Sewer Repairs and Replacement <br />Project (Phase 2) and authorize the release of bonds and retention according to City procedures; <br />2. By motion, accept the supplemental 2024 Emergency Veterans Boulevard Sewer Replacement Project <br />and authorize the release of bonds and retention according to City procedures; and <br />3.By motion, approve the City Manager’s emergency action and determine that the supplemental 2024 <br />Emergency Veterans Boulevard Sewer Replacement Project was necessary to respond to the <br />emergency, and retroactively authorize the City Manager’s execution of the construction contract <br />with SubTerra Construction, Inc. for $685,676. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Public Safety <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City currently owns and operates two parallel sanitary sewer interceptor lines on Veterans Boulevard, <br />measuring 30-inches in the north line and 33-inches in the south line, that collect a majority of the flow <br />from the Fair Oaks Sewer Maintenance District of San Mateo County. In 2016, a Closed-Circuit Television <br />(CCTV) condition assessment was performed on the two large-diameter lines, as part of the City’s CIP <br />annual condition assessment program.
