<br />ATTY/RESO.0020/SA RESO ADOPTING THE COI CODE FOR THE SA <br />REV: 03-04-25 LF <br />Page 1 of 7 <br />RESOLUTION NO.SA-_____ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ADOPTING THE <br />CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE FOR THE SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO <br />THE REDWOOD CITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AND REPEALING <br />RESOLUTION NO. SA-22-01 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Political Reform Act of 1974, as amended (Cal. Gov. Code <br />§ 81000, et seq.) (“Act”), requires state and local government agencies to adopt and <br />promulgate a conflict of interest code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Fair Political Practices Commission (“FPPC”) has adopted a <br />regulation, which contains the terms of a standard conflict of interest code, that can be <br />incorporated by reference by a local agency as that agency’s conflict of interest code (2 <br />Cal. Code of Regulations §18730); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 87306.5 of the Act requires that conflict of interest codes be <br />reviewed and, if appropriate, revised biennially in even-numbered years; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency dissolved effective February 1, 2012 per <br />AB 1X26 and a Successor Agency to the Redevelopment Agency (“Successor Agency”) <br />was created; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by Successor Agency Resolution SA 22-01, adopted November 14, <br />2022, the Successor Agency adopted a Conflict of Interest Code (the “Code”) for the <br />Successor Agency, by incorporating by reference 2 Cal. Code of Regulations Section <br />18730, as that section may be amended from time to time, and approved as exhibits, <br />designated positions and disclosure categories for those designated positions within the <br />Successor Agency; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Successor Agency has determined that the attached Exhibit “A” <br />(“Exhibit”) do not require any changes and accurately set forth those positions and <br />corresponding disclosure categories for each of the positions as specified in the Exhibit. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO THE <br />REDWOOD CITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Conflict of Interest Code Adopted. The terms of 2 Cal. Code of <br />Regulations Section 18730, as may be amended from time to time by the FPPC, are <br />hereby incorporated by reference and, along with the attached Exhibit and Appendices, <br />constitute the Code of the Successor Agency. <br /> <br />Section 2. Statements of Economic Interests. By April 1st of each year, designated <br />employees of the Successor Agency will file with the Agency Secretary their statements of <br />economic interest for the prior calendar year.
