Exhibit B - Scope of Work
The following scope of work will be conducted at the site:
Pre-field planning which includes obtaining site access agreements, scheduling, permitting, traffic control,
and health and safety;
Fieldwork which includes coordination with subcontractors and vendors, drilling and sample collection,
analysis, and waste disposal; and,
Reporting
Each task is described in more detail in the following sections.
Pre-field Planning
Confirm Site Access Agreements and Schedules
Prior to the start of field work, AECOM will confirm all site access agreements and easements are up to date.
Permitting
AECOM will apply for and obtain a San Mateo County Environmental Health permit for drilling activities as required
for drilling at or below 10 feet below ground surface (bgs). Additionally, AECOM will confirm with Caltrans that our
existing encroachment permit is valid for this scope of work. If not, AECOM will work with Caltrans to ensure the
proper permits are held before conducting any on site field work.
Traffic Control
AECOM will provide traffic control plans for review and approval by Caltrans. AECOM will provide traffic control and
California Highway Patrol’s (CHP) Construction Zone Enhanced Enforcement Program (COZEEP) support during
drilling activities, where necessary.
Health and Safety
Prior to the start of field activities, AECOM will prepare a site-specific Health and Safety Plan (HASP) for this project.
A copy of the HASP will be submitted to Caltrans prior to beginning field work and will be available on site during
field activities.
Fieldwork
Initial Site Visit
AECOM will coordinate with building managers beforehand by email or phone to determine the best date and time
to meet and be safely escorted through the properties and to cause minimal disruption to the occupants and tenants.
AECOM will conduct an initial site visit to mark the boring location on the ground surface with white paint or chalk
and answer questions the building managers may have with regards to the field activities.
Utility Clearance
AECOM will survey the site for underground utilities prior to conducting the work. The boring location should still be
marked from the prior site visit and Underground Service Alert (USA) will be contacted at least 72 hours prior to
initiating subsurface activities. In addition to USA, AECOM will hire a private utility locator to do a secondary
investigation of underground utilities within the project area. The ground will not disturbed during the utility
clearance activities. In general, the operator will push a ground-penetrating radar unit (approximately the size of a
powered lawnmower or slightly larger than a large vacuum) over the area where the boring is proposed. The
operator will complete several passes in different directions to evaluate if there are underground utilities present or
ATTY/AGR.2025.012/BMR-Bay LP (700, 720, and 740 Bay Road) (Page 12 of 16)
