ATTY/RESO.0011/CC RESO LAFCO (SMC) WATER & SEWER SERVICES <br />REV: 04-24-25 LF <br />Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct, constitute findings in this <br />matter, and are hereby incorporated herein by this reference as if fully set forth in their <br />entirety. <br /> <br />2. This activity is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act <br />(CEQA) as defined in CEQA Guidelines, Section 15378, including because it involves <br />organizational or administrative activities that will not result in direct or indirect physical <br />changes in the environment. <br /> <br />3. For new or extended water and/or sewer service connections requiring <br />LAFCo approval, the City Manager or their designee is hereby authorized to submit <br />applications to LAFCo upon request from individual property owners located in the <br />Affected Territory pursuant to California Government Code Section 56133 of the Cortese- <br />Knox-Hertzberg Local Government Reorganization Act of 2000. The City Manager is <br />further authorized to execute any additional documents, as necessary, to seek approval <br />from LAFCo. <br /> <br />4. Any water and/or sewer service connection in the Affected Territory would <br />be subject, but not limited, to the following conditions and fees: <br /> <br />a. Individual property owner shall obtain LAFCo approval of the application for <br />the proposed water and/or sewer service connection; <br /> <br />b. Individual property owner shall pay LAFCo fees; <br /> <br />c. After approval of the construction drawings by the San Mateo County <br />Building Department and upon application for new or extended water and/or sewer <br />service, individual property owner shall pay all applicable City fees, including <br />connection fees associated with proposed water and/or sewer service; <br /> <br />d. Individual property owner shall pay the City’s water and/or sewer service <br />annexation fees; <br /> <br />e. Individual property owner shall install new water and/or sewer service lines; <br /> <br />f. Individual property owner shall be responsible for the design, construction, <br />and connection of any water and/or sewer main modifications or extensions <br />necessary to provide adequate flow for domestic use and fire suppression, in <br />accordance with City Code Chapter 38 (Water System Regulations) for water and <br />City Code Chapter 27 (Sanitary Sewerage Facilities) for sewer and as determined <br />by the City and the Fire Marshal within the local jurisdiction; <br />
