Page 35 of 37 <br />20016287.14 <br />iii)Property damage equal to or exceeding $25,000; <br />iv)An evacuation for life safety reasons; or <br />v)A mainline derailment. <br />g)Revenue Service (Miles, Hours, and Trips): The time when a vehicle is <br />available to the general public and there is an expectation of carrying <br />passengers. Vehicles operated in fare free service are considered in <br />revenue service. <br />i)Revenue service includes: <br />1)Layover / recovery time. <br />ii)Revenue service excludes: <br />1)Deadhead <br />2)Vehicle maintenance testing <br />3)School bus service, and <br />4)Charter service. <br />h)Total Service (Miles or Hours): The time or miles from when a transit <br />vehicle starts (pull-out) from a garage to go into revenue service to the <br />time or miles it returns to the garage (pull-in) after completing its revenue <br />service. <br />i)Since total service covers the time or miles between: <br />1)Pullout; and <br />2)Pull-in; <br />ii)It therefore includes both: <br />1)Deadhead; and <br />2)Revenue service; <br />i)Unlinked Passenger Trips (UPT): The number of passengers who <br />board public transportation vehicles.
