Additional costs may arise if mitigation efforts <br />are required. This effort may require interdepartmental coordination between the Fire Department, <br />Community Development, Informational Technology Services, and City Clerk’s Office. These tasks are <br />anticipated to be completed within existing FY 2024–25 department budgets. Currently, no additional <br />fiscal impact to the adoption of the maps is foreseen. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />This activity is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines <br />Section 15061(b)(3) because it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the activity may <br />have a significant effect on the environment. <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Public notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72 <br />hours prior to the meeting. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />1. Introduce the Recommended Map with Additions - Designate additional areas as higher hazard zones <br />than those identified by the State Fire Marshal <br />2. Request additional information or postpone the introduction, recognizing the potential risks of <br />delaying adoption. <br />3.
