REV: 05-02-25 LF <br />EXHIBIT “A” <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br />Consultant shall perform the following tasks to update the City’s tree preservation <br />ordinance: <br />Task 1 – Project Research & Draft Ordinance <br />1.1Consultant shall review the existing ordinances and recently updated <br />ordinances in nearby municipalities. <br />1.2 Consultant shall review recordings or transcripts of past community meetings <br />regarding trees, to understand community concerns. <br />1.3Consultant shall meet with selected relevant City department representatives <br />for input, including but not limited to: Parks, Recreation & Community Services, <br />Community Development (Planning, Building), Public Works, Engineering and <br />Transportation, City Attorney, etc. <br />1.4Consultant shall review and provide feedback on the draft outline provided in <br />Request for Proposals. <br />Task 1 Deliverables: <br />Consultant shall draft tree preservation ordinance. <br />Task 2 – Community Meetings & Consulting <br />2.1Consultant shall attend Six (6), one hour community meetings, Two (2), two- <br />hour City Council Study Sessions, One (1), two-hour City Council Public <br />Hearing. Duration of these meetings listed are estimates. <br />2.2[Optional] Upon request by Public Works Services Director or designee, <br />provide technical consulting on City response to public comments regarding <br />the ordinance update, when arboricultural knowledge will help provide a <br />complete response. <br />Task 2 Deliverables: <br />Consultant shall prepare and attend in-person public meetings. <br />Consultant shall revise draft ordinance to produce final tree preservation ordinance <br />and incorporate City and community feedback. <br />Project Schedule <br />Task-1 deliverable – Draft Tree Ordinance Q4 2025* <br />Task-2 deliverables: <br />Community meetings – phased throughout the writing process <br />City Council Study Session Q4 2025* <br />City Council Public Hearing Q4 2025 – Q1 2026* <br />ATTY/AGR.2025.097/Garden Guidance LLC (Tree Ordinance Update) (Page 11 of 12)
