REV: 04-29-25 LF <br />GENERATOR DISPLAY <br />A FROG (Frequency Regulation of Generator) generator display kit shall be installed to monitor <br />a 60 Hz, generator. <br />The kit shall include: <br />•Display module. <br />•Voltage transformer. <br />•Current transformers and cables. <br />The display module shall consolidate five (5) generator monitoring instruments into one device. <br />The display case shall be waterproof and have dimensions not to exceed 4.25 inches high by <br />4.25 inches wide by 3.25 inches deep. <br />The following continuous displays shall be provided with super bright LED digits more than .50 <br />inches high: <br />•Generator frequency in hertz <br />•Line 1 current in ampere <br />•Line 2 current in amperes <br />•Generator voltage in volts <br />The program shall support the accumulation of elapsed generator hours and the monitoring of <br />hydraulic oil temperature. Generator hours and oil temperature shall be displayed at the push of <br />a button. Audible warning alarm outputs are provided for generator overload, over/under voltage <br />fluctuations, and high oil temperature. <br />GENERATOR DISPLAY LOCATION <br />The display shall be installed adjacent to the electrical load center. <br />GENERATOR LOCATION <br />The unit shall be located on top of the trailer gooseneck, directly over the first left and right-side <br />trailer compartments. <br />HOT SHIFT PTO <br />The generator hydraulic pump shall be attached directly to the rear of the aerial “Thru Drive” <br />hydraulic pump which is driven by the “hot shift” PTO installed on the chassis transmission as <br />described elsewhere within these specifications. The PTO shall be ‘engaged’ by a switch in the <br />cab. <br />A second switch with an indicator light shall be provided to excite the generator. The switch shall <br />be labeled “GENERATOR EXCITE”. <br />GENERATOR EXCITE <br />The generator excite application shall be activated by a rocker switch located on the cab dash or <br />other operator accessible area in the cab.
