REV: 04-29-25 LF <br />The DIC shall include on-screen control of the diesel particulate filter (DPF). The DIC shall be <br />capable of initiating and halting a manual DPF regeneration cycle. Also, the DIC shall be capable <br />of inhibiting DPF regeneration when not desired by the operator. <br />The DIC shall be capable of displaying detailed diagnostic information. Diagnostic information <br />screens shall only be accessible when the park brake is set to prevent unsafe operation of the <br />vehicle. The following information shall be available through the on-screen menu: <br />•On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) faults – display of all active OBD faults, including the system <br />reporting the fault, the suspect parameter number (SPN), and the failure mode identifier <br />(FMI) <br />•Messages– display a list of all active warning messages and the status of alarms <br />•Vehicle Info – display of broadcast chassis information, including Vehicle Identification <br />Number (VIN) <br />•Pump Interlocks – display pump interlocks status, engine speed, and transmission output <br />speed <br />•Input/Output Diagnostics – display the state of all wired inputs and outputs to the DIC <br />•Symbol Legend – display a glossary of all symbols and icons used on the DIC <br />•J1939 Databus Info – display a list of all electronic control units (ECUs) communicating <br />on the vehicle J1939 databus and display a list of all current message data on J1939 <br />BACKLIGHTING COLOR <br />The digital dash instrumentation gauges shall display in white and the switch panel legends shall <br />be backlit using red LED backlighting. <br />HOUR METER <br /> <br />An hour meter for the engine and the aerial hours shall be included within the digital dash display <br />which shall measure the number of hours the engine and the PTO controlling the aerial has been <br />operated. The hour meter shall be wired to the left-hand PTO. <br />CLOCK <br />There shall be a 2.00 inch diameter Teltek digital clock installed in the switch panel on the dash. <br />The clock shall feature a digital readout in either standard or military time. The clock shall also <br />feature automatic brightness control and a lithium replaceable battery for back-up when power is <br />turned off. <br />APPARATUS PANEL INSTRUMENTATION <br />A fuel gauge shall be shipped loose with the cab and chassis for the body builder to install. <br />RADIO <br />A Jensen brand heavy-duty radio with weather band, AM/FM stereo receiver and Bluetooth <br />capabilities shall be installed in a City specified location.
