Implement the second phase of speed limit reductions around schools by reducing the <br />posted speed limit around the Hoover Elementary, Kennedy Middle, and Roy Cloud <br />Elementary School Zones to 15 miles per hour in order to enhance traffic safety <br /> (702) Reso 16315 <br />Recommendation: <br />Adopt a resolution to reduce the posted speed limit to 15 miles per hour within 500 feet <br />of the Hoover Elementary, Roy Cloud Elementary and Kennedy Middle School grounds, <br />while children are present, consistent with California state law. <br /> <br />CEQA: <br />This is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br /> <br /> 6.G. Grant application to California State Library for adult literacy services and family <br />literacy services (505) <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City to submit grant application to the California <br />State Library for California Library Literacy Services funding for adult literacy and the <br />California Library Literacy Services funding for families for literacy and authorize the City <br />Manager or their designee to execute all grant documents necessary to secure grant <br />funds of $265,513 and implement the approved grant projects. <br />6.P. - Page 3 of 12 <br />195
