FY2023 – 2025 Work Plan and Ad-Hoc Subcommittees Check-in and Discussion <br />Chair Goetz lead a discussion on the status of the FY 2023-2025 Workplan and <br />associated Ad-Hoc Subcommittees. <br />Public Comment: <br />None <br />5.D. Matters of Committee Interest <br />●Committee Member Updates <br />o Member Hiester: <br />▪Mentioned the presidential memo regarding pauses to grant <br />funding and its potential impacts. Member Hiester asked if <br />committee members would be interested in contacting local <br />organizations to try to understand the potential impacts to their <br />operations. Member Hiester also asked about how Community <br />Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Incentive <br />Partnership (HOME) funding might be impacted. <br />▪Mentioned they support the Community Collaboration for <br />Children’s Success, and in those meetings there’s interest in <br />supporting undocumented and mixed status families in North <br />Fair Oaks. There are a lot of “know your rights” trainings coming <br />up and she would share that information to staff to share with <br />committee <br />o Member Scheinman asked clarifying questions about the evictions data <br />provided by the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office and how it compares <br />to county wide eviction numbers. <br />o Vice Chair Montalvo had question regarding the status of interagency <br />meetings, and Staff member Chin shared that those meetings have been <br />discontinued. <br />o Chair Goetz provided a reminder that May is Affordable Housing Month, <br />and mentioned to committee members to keep a look out for upcoming <br />events. <br />●Staff Announcements <br />o Staff member Lancaster: <br />▪Provided an update on the Community Development Block <br />Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership (HOME), and <br />Human Services Financial Assistance(HSFA) Notice of Funding <br />Availability (NOFA) review process and timeline. <br />7.A. - Page 95 of 189 <br />299
