Following the City’s 2023-2031 Housing Element, this priority is to <br />maintain and increase the diversity of housing types in all City neighborhoods and <br />preserve/protect its current affordable housing stock. <br />Basis for Priority Based on the needs assessment and market analysis, Redwood City's highest need for lower <br />income households is for affordable housing <br />PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES <br />Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO): Eden Housing, 847 Woodside. These funds are reserved for <br />use by an eligible CHDO and are set-aside by federal statute (15% of the annual HOME grant entitlement). These <br />funds will be used for new construction of one affordable rental unit. $35,202 – HOME <br />Home Preservation Program: Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco, 300 Montgomery St #450, San Francisco. <br />These funds will be used to facilitate substantial renovations to address home repair needs for low-income <br />homeowners, including home safety modifications that allow low-income seniors to safely age in place. $434,581 – <br />CDBG <br />National Rebuilding Day: Rebuilding Together Peninsula, 841 Kaynyne Street, Redwood City. These funds will be <br />used to pay for materials toward rebuilding of homes by volunteers on National Rebuilding Day for low income <br />homeowners. $45,385 – CDBG <br />Resilient Homes Minor Home Repair Program: Climate Resilient Communities, 3921 E Bayshore Rd, Palo Alto. These <br />funds will be used to provide minor home repair and energy and water conservation solutions for low-income <br />homeowners. $21,076 – CDBG <br />Safe at Home: Rebuilding Together Peninsula, 841 Kaynyne Street, Redwood City. These funds will be used to pay <br />for materials and labor to provide minor home repairs for low income homeowners. $49,905 – CDBG <br />Shores Landing Elevator Addition: Mid-Pen Shores Landing, LLC., 1000 Twin Dolphin Drive, Redwood City. These <br />funds will be used to add a second elevator to an existing affordable housing senior property that can accommodate <br />a medical gurney.
