Barricades may be placed near the corner of the intersection to be closed no <br /> more than thirty-six (36} hours before the event. A�I barricades shall be neatly <br /> stacked and not obs�ruct pedestrian movement at the intersection nor visibility <br /> from vehicles before the e�ent. <br /> F. [f the City delivers and/or picks up the barricades, the Permit�ee will be charged <br /> for City staff time. <br /> G. Final placements of barricades are subject#o approval and may be moved at the <br /> sole discretion of the Police Department. <br /> H. No permanent barricades to impede upon Fire Departmen# access. <br /> Section 7: P4�10E AND PRIVATE SECURITY � <br /> A. Permittee's must submit a security plan for the proposed e�ent and receive <br /> approva� of the Redwood City Pvlice Department. The approvaf of the Redwood <br /> City Police Depar#menfi wi11 be based on, but not limited to the following: type of <br /> function; service of alcohol, if applicable; traffic control requirements; the number <br /> of attendees; anticipated security issues and the history of security issues at the <br /> same or simifar event in prior years, if applicable. The Permittee's plan must list <br /> the proposed number of security personnei, their location, duties, hours of <br /> service, contact information for the day of the event and whether they are <br /> Redwood City police officers or pri�ate security personnel. Permit�ees are <br /> responsible for alf costs associated with security. <br /> 1. The purpose of Police presence during events is to ensure public safeiy, keep <br /> the peace, and enforce relevant laws, codes and ordinances. More common <br /> duties include traffic direction and enfoccement of event-specific conditions. <br /> 2. Private security per�ormed by the Permi##ee will include cnecking IDs to <br /> prevent under-aged drinking, collecting tickets at the entry and other <br /> appropriate tasks to promote order during the event. Privafie security must be <br /> licensed and insured and provide the same indemnity agreemenf insurance <br /> documentation as the Permittee pursua�#to Attachment 11. <br /> 3. An appropriate balance between Poiice and private securifiy, including staffing <br /> le�els will be determined by the City. <br /> 4. A contact person representing the Permittee must be at the event for its entire <br /> duration, and must ha�e a copy of the Event Permit available for review. <br /> Aage 10 of 21 <br />
