Unless expressly exemp#ed from such requirement, Event Permittee <br /> shal! procure and maintain in full force and effect during the term of the permit a p�°��be <br /> of insurance which provides the co�erage that the Finance D�rector determines t <br /> necessary and adequate under the c�o holdaaneevent that invofves expressi�e activity <br /> a. An Appiicant seeking <br /> may elect to apply far an exemption from the insurance requirement, <br /> unless there is a specific demonstrable history of personal injury or <br /> property damage claims being awarded against the applicant attributable <br /> to the applicant's conduct of previous even�s in the City that are simi{ar in <br /> nature to the proposed event. lication <br /> b. Applicant must app�� for such exemption at the same time as app <br /> fo� a permit. The insurance wili be <br /> obtained frorn an insurance carrier admitted and authorized to do business in the State <br /> of California.
