<br />The total FY 2025-26 CIP totals $74.9 million. This budget includes 59 projects and contains $4.3 million
<br />in dedicated staffing resources for construction administration and project management.
<br />Funding for capital projects typically comes from many sources, with Utility Users’ Tax (UUT) as the
<br />primary revenue source utilized for many capital improvement projects. Most other funding sources are
<br />restricted to certain purposes and, in some cases, must be spent within a prescribed period. Dedicated
<br />revenue sources include park impact and park in-lieu fee funds; water capital projects and sewer capital
<br />project funds; transportation grants; traffic mitigation fees fund and Gas Tax revenues.
<br />An online portal for the FY 2025-26 CIP projects provides a high-level summary of the project
<br />appropriations. The project summaries can be viewed by district or neighborhood. A new feature this
<br />year is a map overlay of CIP projects and project costs on the City’s Equity Priority Communities Map, as
<br />defined by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission. The online portal web address is
<br />www.redwoodcity.org/CIPMap.
<br />Successor Agency to the Former Redevelopment Agency
<br />Included in the FY 2025-26 Recommended Budget presented to Council, as Successor Agency Board, on
<br />June 9, 2025 was a budget for the Successor Agency. This budget appears in the Fiduciary Funds section.
<br />The budget provides for the necessary resources to finance the Successor Agency’s obligations of $3.6
<br />million that will come due in FY 2025-26.
<br />After reviewing the FY 2025-26 Recommended Budget for the Successor Agency, the City Council’s
<br />feedback, as Successor Agency Board, did not include changes to the budget as submitted.
