Council discussed and provided feedback on the Fiscal Year 2025-26 Recommended Budget, including direction to reduce the $4.85M in economic reserves by $2M to fund pavement improvements, which received majority interest by Council Members Chu, Sturken, Padilla and Vice Mayor Eakin. Motion and second, Chu and Howard, to adopt a resolution setting June 23, 2025 as the date for the public hearing on and adoption of the Fiscal Year 2025-26 Budget, directing copies of the Fiscal Year 2025-26 Recommended Budget to be filed with the City Clerk, and authorizing and directing the City Clerk to publish notice of the availability of the Fiscal Year 2025-26 Recommended Budget and the date of the public hearing, passed unanimously by electronic vote. 10.
