SANITARY SEWERS 02 7300-9 <br /> <br />2.03 ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR FORCE MAINS <br />A. Pipe for sanitary sewer force mains shall conform to the requirements of AWWA <br />C-900, Class 150, DR 18 pipe per ASTM D1784, and ASTM D2241. <br />B. Pipe for sanitary sewer force mains shall conform to the requirements of AWWA <br />C-906 and Section 1.02 of these specifications. <br />C. Fittings for PVC sanitary sewer force mains shall be ductile iron castings <br />conforming to the requirements of AWWA Standard C153 for two hundred (250) <br />psi working pressure. Fittings shall be furnished with either push-on joints for use <br />with pressure pipe or flanged joints as designated on the plans. Both push-on and <br />flanged joints shall conform to the requirements of AWWA Standard C111 for cast- <br />iron pressure pipe. <br />D. Bolts, nuts, and washers for flanged fittings shall be stainless steel, ASTM A-276, <br />Type 316. <br />E. Couplings, restraints, fittings, valves, thrust blocking and/or locator wire shall <br />conform to the plans and material requirements of Section 02 6600-Water Systems <br />of these specifications. <br />F. See Paragraph 2.01 - PVC Pipe Materials for other applicable material <br />requirements. <br />2.04 SANITARY SEWER CLEANOUTS <br />A. Wye branches and risers for sanitary sewer cleanouts shall conform to the CITY's <br />Standard Details. <br />B. Cleanout box shall be Christy concrete type F08 Curb Valve Box with F08R lid <br />marked “SEWER” when installed in location not subject to vehicular loading. <br />Christy FL08 Box may be used to accommodate larger size laterals in lieu of F08 <br />Box. <br />C. When installed in location subject to vehicular loading, cleanout box shall be <br />Christy concrete type G05T Traffic Valve Box with G05CT Traffic Lid marked <br />“SEWER” and shall be provided with 8” concrete base <br />D. Concrete for cleanout bases shall be Class "A" conforming to the requirements of <br />Section 02 5500 of these Specifications. <br />E. Reinforcement for cleanout bases shall be deformed steel bars conforming to <br />Section 02 5500 of these Specifications. <br />2.05 SANITARY SEWER LATERALS <br />A. Sanitary sewer lateral shall be installed to conform to CITY’s Standard Details. <br />Connections to the HDPE main shall be performed using electrofusion wye <br />saddles.
