REV: 05-08-25 MI <br />AGREEMENT FOR EMS SERVICES <br />THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into as of , 2025 <br />(the “ Effective Date”), by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and <br />municipal corporation of the State of California (“City”), and the WOODSIDE FIRE <br />PROTECTION DISTRICT, a fire protection district, (“Fire District''), organized pursuant to <br />Section 13801, et seq., of the Health and Safety Code (collectively, the “Parties” and individually <br />a “Party”). <br />RECITALS <br />A.The Parties provide fire and life safety prevention services, training in accordance <br />with local, state and federal requirements, and standardized operating procedures within their <br />respective organizations; and <br />B.The Parties wish to share in the provision of Emergency Medical Services ( EMS) <br />coordination services within their respective organizations; and <br />C.The Parties are entering into this Agreement as authorized pursuant to California <br />Government Code section 54980, et seq., and Public Contract Code section 20811. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of these recitals and the mutual covenants <br />contained therein, the Parties agree as follows: <br />1. Scope of Work. <br />A.The Fire District, through its Emergency Medical Services Battalion Chief/MED2 <br />(“MED2”), will perform the following services for the City: <br />• Restock narcotics at the City's Fire Station 9 and complete all legally required <br />documentation; <br />• Deliver/Disseminate policy and protocol updates; <br />• Provide clinical oversight, including pre-hospital care report (PCR)/critical <br />incident review by initiating periodic checks and when notified of unique calls <br />and circumstances; <br />• Serve as the Local Emergency Medical Services Agency (LEMSA) liaison and <br />Designated Infection Control Officer (DICO) liaison to the City DICO officer <br />when needed; <br />• Respond to Multi-Casualty Incidents (Level 2 or higher), when MED2 is present <br />in San Mateo County; <br />• Respond to critical incident responses, or other incidents at the request of the <br />Incident Command (IC), when MED2 is present in San Mateo County; <br />• Assist in oversight and confirmation of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) <br />and paramedic paperwork to LEMSA; <br />• Oversee joint training for EMTs and paramedics, including infrequent skills and <br />policy rollout training; and <br />• Include the following individuals in any communications to the City: City <br />Training Chief, City Training Captain, and City EMS Captains. <br />ATTY/AGR.2025.079/Woodside Fire Protection District (EMS Services) (Page 1 of 7) <br />July 10
