From:Dana Sittler
To:publiccomment
Subject:In strong support of the anti-camping ordinance
Date:Monday, July 21, 2025 9:31:42 AM
You don't often get email from dana.sittler@gmail.com. Learn why this is important
To whom it may concern,
My family and I are residents of the Bair Island peninsula of Redwood City and are extremely
concerned about the homeless tents, fires, and the resulting negative impact to the safety of
our neighborhood. We have a young 1.5 year-old son, and use the tunnel under the 101 to
walk downtown often for accessing stores and restaurants downtown. Multiple times we’ve
felt unsafe and seen debris and abandoned embers.
I understand that the city will be considering adopting the anti-camping ordinance that San
Mateo County has in place in Monday evening’s meeting. Please consider this a vehement
support for adoption this ordinance as one way to help keep our communities safe and secure.
Please let us know any information that would be helpful.
Respectfully,
- Dana Sittler
Dana Sittler
p.
