ATTY/RESO.0073/CC RESO ADOPTING A LIST OF PROJECTS FOR FY 25-26 FUNDED BY SB 1 REV: 07-15-25 VR Page 2 of 4 WHEREAS, staff identified 58 road rehabilitation projects in Redwood City that could use SB1 as a funding source; and WHEREAS, the 2023 California Statewide Local Streets and Roads Needs Assessment found that the County’s streets and roads are in an At-risk condition and this revenue will help us increase the overall quality of our road system and over the next decade will bring our streets and roads into a good condition; and WHEREAS, the SB 1 project list and overall investment in our local streets and roads infrastructure with a focus on basic maintenance and safety, investing in complete streets infrastructure, and using cutting-edge technology, materials and practices, will have significant positive co-benefits statewide. NOW, THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, ORDERED AND FOUND BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: 1. The foregoing recitals are true and correct. 2. The following newly proposed projects will be funded in-part or solely with Fiscal Year 2025-26 Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account revenues: Table #1: Proposed Master Street List for FY 2025-26 Roadway Management Program Project Street Name Start End Project Location VERA AVE EL CAMINO REAL ALAMEDA D. PULGAS Estimated Useful Project Life 8 to 15 years Estimated Project Schedule Start (8/25) - Completion (12/25) Project Description The Roadway Management Program inventories, assesses, and tracks maintenance of the City's roadways. Each year, streets are prepared for resurfacing with crack sealing and spot repairs before being resurfaced with an "overlay", "cape seal", “slurry seal", or "microsurfacing”. In Fiscal Year 2025-26, the City intends to use RMRA funding to do spot repairs, overlay, “slurry seal" or "microsurfacing” of the above-listed street segments. The project would go to bid next spring. 3. The following previously proposed and adopted projects may also utilize Fiscal Year 2025-26 Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account revenues in their delivery. With the relisting of these projects in the adopted fiscal year resolution, the City is reaffirming to the public and the State our intent to fund these projects with Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account revenues:
