Recommended Capacity Improvement Plan <br />City of Redwood City (0011239.02)4-2 Woodard & Curran, Inc. <br />Sanitary Sewer Capacity Master Plan November 2023 <br />Flow confirmation level reflects the relative confidence in the model predictions based on the observed conditions at <br />flow meters relative to the location of the predicted capacity deficiencies. Three flow confirmation levels were defined, <br />as follows: <br />1.Flow meter on project reach surcharged during largest monitored storm event <br />2.Flow meter on project reach confirms model flow but did not surcharge during largest monitored storm event <br />3.Flow meter near project reach (upstream or downstream) confirms model flow <br />The deficiency and confirmation levels were used to assign each proposed capacity improvement project to a ranking <br />group (A, B, and C), as follows: <br />4.1.3 Recommended Capacity Improvement Program <br />Table 4-1 lists the recommended capacity improvement projects, estimated costs, and rankings. Figure 4-1 and Figure <br />4-2 show the capacity improvement projects in the Main City and Redwood Shores areas, respectively, color-coded by <br />project ranking. (Note that there are no proposed capacity projects in the Seaport/Pacific Shores area.) As indicated in <br />the table, the total estimated capital cost of the capacity improvement CIP is approximately $41.8 million, with $12.6 <br />million identified for the highest ranked projects.
