<br />Memorandum <br /> <br />DATE: July 21, 2025 <br />TO: Planning and Housing Departments, San Mateo County Jurisdictions <br />FROM: Anna Alekseyeva, ADU Resource Center of San Mateo County <br />RE: FY25/26 Member Dues for the ADU Resource Center for San Mateo County <br />The ADU Resource Center of San Mateo County officially launched in September 2024 to <br />provide ADU-related services to staff and homeowners. 17 jurisdictions joined the ADU <br />Resource Center as members in its first year of operation. This memo provides information <br />about the work the Center has done in the first half year since it launched, reviews services <br />provided to member jurisdictions, and membership costs for FY 25/26. <br />Sections <br />1. Funding Request <br />What is the ADU Resource Center? <br />The ADU Resource Center (smcadu.org) is a nonprofit that works with homeowners and <br />jurisdictions in San Mateo County to get more ADUs built. The Center aims to help <br />jurisdictions meet their ADU production and affordability commitments and ensure they <br />are up-to-date on State laws and HCD compliance requirements. In doing so, the Center <br />aims to produce more housing, and more affordable housing, in the County. <br /> <br />The Center is staffed with a full-time director. It coordinates its services, in partnership <br />with other local nonprofits, through a multilingual interactive website. <br /> <br />A Steering Committee composed of jurisdiction staff have guided the development and <br />launch of the Center to-date. Members of the Committee are Apollo Rojas of Redwood City, <br />Hanson Hom and Karen Camacho of East Palo Alto, Joseph Sanfilippo of Burlingame, Laura <br />Russell of Belmont, Liz Ruess of Hillsborough, Rucha Dande of San Carlos and Zach Dahl of <br />San Mateo. <br /> <br />7.E. - Page 4 of 9 <br />91
