Adopt a resolution approving the Property Purchase Agreement between the City of Redwood <br />City, as Buyer, and FN Veterans LLC, as Seller, for the purchase of a fee parcel, permanent access <br />rights and a temporary construction easement over real property identified as Assessor's Parcel <br />Number 052-431-010, (1475 Veterans Blvd) in the amount of $11,100; and <br />2. Adopt a resolution approving the Property Purchase Agreement between the City of Redwood <br />City, as Buyer, and Peninsula Building Materials Co. and Bushmont Company, as Seller, for the <br />purchase of a fee parcel and a temporary construction easement over real property identified as <br />Assessor's Parcel Number 052-392-510, (109 Seaport Blvd) in the amount of $33,100. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Transportation <br />BACKGROUND <br />As detailed at the December 16, 2024, City Council Study Session, the State Route 84 (Woodside Road) / <br />U.S. 101 Interchange Reimagined Project (“Project”) is a collaborative effort involving multiple agencies <br />to fully reconstruct the interchange area. The goals are to enhance traffic safety, reduce congestion and <br />pollution, and provide safer bicycle and pedestrian facilities. <br />To proceed, the Project requires both permanent right-of-way (ROW) acquisition of certain lands and <br />temporary ROW construction easements. The Project’s anticipated ROW capital costs of $21.3M are fully <br />funded based on staff’s initial offer estimates.
