ATTY/RESO.0083/CC RESO LEVY ASSESSMENTS FOR FY 2025-2026 SEAPORT LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT <br />REV: 08-06-25 VR <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 16342 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, REQUESTING AND AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY <br />CONTROLLER TO LEVY THE BENEFIT ASSESSMENTS FOR THE <br />SEAPORT BOULEVARD LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $212,500 AND AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY TAX <br />COLLECTOR TO COLLECT SUCH ASSESSMENTS FOR THE TAX <br />ROLL YEAR 2025-2026 <br />WHEREAS, on August 24, 2015, voters of the Seaport Boulevard Landscape <br />Maintenance District (the “District”) approved, by a vote of 100% yes to 0% no, the levy <br />of a special tax, as specified in the City Manager’s and City Engineer’s Reports, <br />heretofore approved by Resolution No. 15415 adopted June 08, 2015 on each non- <br />exempt parcel of land in the district; and <br />WHEREAS, the maximum annual benefit assessment is $212,500; and <br />WHEREAS, the District has the need of the services of the offices of the San <br />Mateo County Controller and Tax Collector in levying and collecting the special tax. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA AS FOLLOWS: <br />1.The above recitals are all true and correct. <br />2.The amount of the assessment to be levied against the District for fiscal <br />year 2025 - 2026 is hereby set at $212,500. <br />3.The City Council of the City of Redwood City hereby respectfully requests <br />and authorizes the San Mateo County Tax Controller to include individual tax <br />assessments in the County tax bills in accordance with the documents supplied by the <br />District and authorizes the San Mateo County Tax Collector to collect the taxes at the <br />same time and in the same manner as the general County taxes are collected. <br />4.The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution <br />and enter it into the book of original resolutions. <br />5.This Resolution shall be effective immediately on adoption by the City <br />Council. <br />* * *
