Resolution approving the City’s updated Sewer System Management Plan <br /> (301) 16341 <br />Recommendation: <br />Adopt a resolution approving the City’s updated Sewer System Management Plan (SSMP) <br />and authorize the Public Works Services Director to revise the SSMP as required before <br />the next six-year SSMP update. <br /> <br />CEQA: <br />This is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br /> <br /> 6.I. Award of contract to Cratus, Inc. for the Maple Street Sewer Interceptor 60-Inch <br />Extension Project (304) <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />By motion, accept Basset Engineering’s request to withdraw their lowest bid and award <br />the contract for the Maple Street Sewer Interceptor 60-Inch Extension Project to the <br />second lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Cratus, Inc. for their responsive and <br />responsible bid of $1,897,000, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the <br />standard form construction contract documents, and authorize the City Manager to <br />increase the contractor amount, if necessary, up to 10 percent of the amount awarded, <br />for a total amount not to exceed $2,086,700. <br /> <br />CEQA: <br />The California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) provides a statutory exemption from <br />environmental review for the installation of new pipeline less than one mile in length <br />within a public street or highway or any other public right-of-way pursuant to Public <br />Resources Code Section 21080.21 and CEQA Guidelines Section 15282(k). The proposed <br />project is statutorily exempt from CEQA pursuant to Public Resources Code Section <br />21010.21 and CEQA Guidelines Section 15282(k), Pipeline Projects Less Than One Mile in <br />Length, as this pipe extension of approximately 126-feet in length will be constructed <br />within a public street/public right-of-way and not exceed one mile in length. <br /> <br /> 6.J. Award of Contract for the Redwood Shores Sea Level Rise Protection Project to <br />evaluate and design levee improvements to meet FEMA re-accreditation standards and <br />to address future sea level rise (304) <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement for <br />services with Schaaf & Wheeler Consulting Civil Engineers to perform data collection and <br />preliminary studies, engage in stakeholder and community outreach, assess alternatives,
