Page 10 of 11 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact to the City associated with the adoption of these code updates. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />This activity is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as defined in CEQA <br />Guidelines, pursuant to Section 15378(b)(5) because it is an organizational or administrative activity of <br />government that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment. Further, <br />adoption of the proposed Ordinances and resolution is exempt from CEQA pursuant to CEQA Guidelines <br />Section 15061(b)(3) because it can be seen with certainty that adoption of this ordinance will not have a <br />significant effect on the environment. <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />A public hearing notice was published in the San Mateo Daily Journal on August 22 and 29, 2025, at least <br />fourteen days prior to the public hearings. Public Notification was also achieved by posting the agenda, <br />with the agenda items being listed, at least 72 hours prior to the meeting, and through an email <br />notification to over 150 persons and organizations on the City’s Development Process Improvement <br />Distribution List. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />1. Do not introduce the local amendments to the State Codes, which will result in Redwood City being <br />regulated by the State Codes as adopted by the State of California. <br />2.
